Parents knows whether or not a child is ready for something. Of course, this is going to occur at all different ages depending on the child itself, but a parent knows - they have that intuition. Because of this, deciding whether to purchase an iPad or not for our grandson wasn't something that required a lot of thought. Having used Apple products over the years, I've grown to trust in their gadgets and knew that the two would be a good fit. Apple makes easy-to-use products, which are capable of withstanding quite a deal (including the occasional drop!) - these two factors played an important role in our decision about our grandson using an iPad.
For an entire week, I was pondering on the question whether to buy iPad for my kindergartener. As our family is a big Apple fan, we have got all available products of Apple right at hand, like, Mac PC, iPhones, iPads, iPods etc.
I strongly desired to see my grandson use the recently launched iPad, so I went ahead and examined the applications, specifically meant for education. Well, it was not as easy as I thought. I began removing the inappropriate advertisements, in app purchases and other features not quite suitable for the little one. I made sure that I gifted him the iPad only after loading it with the best apps he can use; however long it takes.
I get a warm feeling whenever I remember his first time with the iPad. As soon as I unlocked it he took over from there. He immediately went to an icon with a red plane, which happens to be his favorite thing, and hasn't stopped since. He has been using the iPad for over a year now and will go straight to it after preschool and on the weekends. It has proven to be a very smart investment!
Thanks to this experience, I started a website where I could post reviews on iPad apps that would be educational for younger children. For each app, we include three or four videos that feature the app in use, to give an idea on what it's like and if it's a good fit for your child. We want to provide parents the opportunity to see for themselves what we've already done by giving a toddler an iPad.
The motive behind this website is to inform parents about the best educational apps on iPad and reduce their efforts, while save their time on researching all of them.
Governments and schools have started using iPads, making them a necessity in some places. With this in mind, I wanted to make sure that our kids would be prepared and have an idea as to how technology works. We've always believed that giving our children access to leading edge technology would aid them on their road to success, so purchasing him an iPad was a great start down that path.
An iPad is the perfect thing for a child. It has a large amount of storage space, perfect for storing all of those apps that your kids will love. And as schools too start to upgrade their supplies, no longer will children have to carry around heavy textbooks when they'd be able to download the text straight onto their iPads. Just think of how many trees would be saved thanks to that! Without having those heavy books to lug around, the only thing a kid needs in their backpack is their handy iPad and their bagged lunch. And, well, maybe an iPhone too.
